Platform and Portability
Throw Away that Portable PC
PocketServer users can store everything that is personal to them on PocketServer:
passwords, account numbers, Web addresses — even personal address
books — on a removable USB Token or smart card. The PC becomes
a generic platform. Now, their digital identity is carried with them
enabling them to log on as themselves at any PC — no matter where
they are (requires installing PocketServer application software).
Take the USB Token or smart card out, and their identity leaves with
them. The PC retains no information about them at all. Because their
identity and personal data are being carried on the tamper-proof device
protected with encryption and a password, they are protected from hackers
and other attacks.
