TranSend International Announces the United States Debut of the OneSMART(TM)
MasterCard(R) Suite at the California Bankers Association Technology Summit, Which
Commenced on Sept. 11, 2006
MESA, Ariz. --(Business Wire)-- Sept. 12, 2006 -- TranSend International today announced
that it will introduce and showcase the successful OneSMART(TM) package to the United
States at the California Bankers Association Technology Summit. TranSend is a primary
sponsor of the event.
Building on the massive rollout of EMV chip banking cards, MasterCard(R) has defined
the OneSMART(TM) Web Specification, regrouping both the Chip Authentication Program
(CAP) 2004 and MasterCard Open Data Storage (MODS) application, opening the way to innovate
personal service. The OneSMART(TM) Web program defines a reader, which allows consumers
to make use of services easily via the PC connection from the reader, guaranteeing confidentiality
and security.
TranSend co-developed the CAP protocols and co-developed MODS for MasterCard based on
its proprietary PocketServer(TM) software. "This development with MasterCard is
the culmination of seven years of work," said Eric Atencio, president of TranSend.
"OneSMART(TM) is a market-tested and proven product that provides secure e-banking,
authentication and online convenience, which creates additional value-added market share
for MasterCard Members worldwide." TranSend currently markets in the United States
with its own banking product called Pocket Server(TM) Plus. "The advantage for
U.S. banks who jump on with OneSMART(TM) now is the differentiating factor of cutting-edge
technology that will increase brand recognition and market share for those banks who
are early adopters," Atencio added.
OneSMART(TM) MasterCard(R) represents a comprehensive, four-point approach to delivering
the promise of smart card technology to members. It covers every aspect necessary to
launch a successful smart card program, integrating the key areas of consumer value
proposition, market-ready technology solutions, end-to-end implementation support, and
global marketing initiatives. With "OneSMART(TM) MasterCard(R)," member financial
institutions around the world are given the technology choices, marketing support and
critical flexibility they need to succeed. A common theme linking all of these areas
is MasterCard's focus on providing maximum flexibility to members wherever possible.
